Our Board of Directors

Officers

Ms. Alisa Betz, Chair (2007-present): Alisa managed International Sales for K2 Sports for 7 years before leaving to become a full-time stay-at-home mom. She received her B.S. in Anthropology from Santa Clara University.

Mr. Bradley Papineau, Vice Chair (2006-present): Brad is a Systems Analyst for Nordstrom, and is an accomplished jazz drummer. He has been a regular Teen Feed Advocate for 7 years.  He received a B.S. in MIS from New Hampshire College.

Ms. Arezou Arefi-Afshar, Secretary (2008-present): Arezou has been a Teen Feed Advocate since 2006.  She has done volunteer work both locally and internationally. Arezou is currently attending Seattle University School of Law where she is on the Board of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association.   

Mr. Jack Yager, Treasurer (2008-present): Jack is a flight instructor and former Boeing Company Director of Business Management.  He is currently Treasurer of the Washington Seaplane Pilots Association and has served on the boards of the Washington Safety Restraint Coalition and the Boeing Employees Credit Union.  He has a B.A. in Business Management from the University of Oregon and an MBA from Seattle University.

Board

Mr. Jeff Albertson, (1996-2001, 2003-present): Jeff is Senior Director of Product Management at Real Networks, Inc. in Seattle. He has over 10 years of experience in the software industry. Jeff has worked with homeless youth as a volunteer advocate, shelter coordinator, and board member.  Jeff received a B.A. in Political Science from Middlebury College in 1995.

Mr. Elliott Barrere (2008-present): Elliott is a long-time USM volunteer and new board member.  He is currently Information Technologies Lead at Synapse Product Development and a Systems Engineer at Cascade Logic where he does IT consulting.  He holds a degree in Applied Computational Mathematical Sciences from the University of Washington.

Mr. Frank Lawler (2006-present): Frank is a former Senior Program Manager at Microsoft and the former Director of Interactive Media at Chedd-Angier-Lewis in Boston. Frank has been serving as a USM Teen Feed Team Coordinator for ten years. A stage actor, writer and director, he is also vice-president of the board of directors at Theatre Puget Sound. Frank received a B.A. in Visual Arts from Harvard.

Ms. Luciann MacDonald (1992-present): Luciann is a former chair, and is our longest continuing USM volunteer. She is currently Pastoral Assistant of Faith Formation at St. Thomas More Parish. Luciann received a B.A. in Liberal Arts from Evergreen State College and a Master's in Theological Studies from Seattle University.

Ms. Kunthearath Morrissey  (2010 - ) Kunthearath has 13 years of domestic and international experience in supply chain focusing on process enhancement, strategic planning and supplier management. She most recently led the Global Logistics team at Starbucks Coffee Company as the Product Flow Supply Chain Global Manager. Kunthearath graduated from Seattle University with degrees in International Business and International Studies.

Mr. Mike Weybright (2004-present): Mike is a retired bank officer with Bank of America. He has over 30 years of management and organizational development experience. He is a March of Dimes volunteer and neighborhood disaster preparedness leader. Mike received a Ph.D in Communications from Northwestern University.
